I started training in Krav Maga in 2016. I did what you have probably done, and looked around online to try and understand what it might all be about – but still found it difficult to work out whether it might be right for me.
I started my Krav Maga journey in 2017. One of my friends who is also in a wheelchair, got mugged during this time and it made me want to look for ways to learn to defend myself. I knew I was in for a challenge.
Leaving the British Army after 24 years, I was looking for a way to keep up my fitness and to learn self defence. I had previously done Karate for several years but due to injuries I wasn't able to keep this up.
As I was planning a sabbatical to travel through Asia on my own, I came across an article that suggested taking up self defence classes before I go out to travel. I started looking into it and came across Krav Maga Combat Academy online.
